Hi, I’m Axiom!
Have you ever played tic-tac-toe?

Then you already know the basics of staX!
Here, players take turns on boards called Grids, Fields, and Systems.

WELCOME TO STAX GRIDS! LET’S BREAK IT DOWN.

This is a Grid. A Grid is like classic tic-tac-toe. Complete a sequence of three or more marks in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally to win.

EXAMPLE OF A WIN ON A SINGLE GRID

Here are two examples of a win. One where the winner completed sequence of three marks across the top and the second shows the winner completed a sequence of three marks diagonally.

TIME TO AMP IT UP BY CHANGING THE  FIELD!

A Field contains multiple Grids that are stacked vertically to make the gameplay three dimensional. You can win by completing a sequence within a single Grid OR across layers vertically within the Field.

FIELDS CREATE COMPLEX WAYS TO WIN

Notice how the winning sequence goes through different layers of the Field.

SYSTEMS ARE THE ULTIMATE BRAIN CHALLENGE

A System contains multiple fields! You can win by completing a sequence within a Grid, across a Field, or even across the entire System.

IT’S 4D THINKING!

Playing a System requires you to think in four dimensions. Master this and you’ve mastered staX!

Are you ready to take it to the next level?

MULTIPLE LEVELS

This is a staX Level 2 System! The number of Grids multiply in equal number to the playing zones. As the board expands, so do your options—and your risks. So stay sharp!

Every move opens the door to sneaky attacks and clever defenses.

MORE WAYS TO PLAY

Adjust the rules to match your play style! No two games need to be the same!

MAKE EVERY MOVE COUNT

Don’t stop at the first win. Keep score as you go, earning a point for every completed sequence. With the game still in motion, every move matters—whether you’re building your lead or closing the gap. Play until the board is full or a target score is reached.

BRING IN MORE PLAYERS

Assign each player a unique symbol or color and see how quickly things get interesting. More players means more possibilities, more competition, and more unexpected outcomes. Try different group sizes, switch up turn order, add a points system, or create your own rules as you go.

EXPAND WITH YOUR OWN RULES

To increase the challenge, try playing with multiple symbols at once. A single player may control two or even three symbols, creating new opportunities for both offense and defense. With more symbols in play, the board becomes more dynamic—lines overlap, strategies shift, and every move carries more weight.
